Honestly, I had never thought it could be so much complicated to throw a Frisbee. Before Ryan taking me to the disc golf course, I believed I knew enough about Frisbee since the WFDF 2008 World Ultimate & Guts Championships was held at the University of British Columbia last summer. Ultimate is a team sport played on a grass field with end zones similar to those used in American football. But NO player can RUN WITH THE DISC, and the opposing team may intercept the disc at any time while it is in the air. I always think the unstoppable football players who running along the stadium to touch down are just awesome. So ultimate game is just OK for me because it is more important for players to know how to throw the disc but not run with the disc.

On this past Friday, Ryan and I went to a Disc Golf course in Orangevale. Disc golf is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc. I could see it is a very popular game since there were many people there. There are eighteen holes in total just like the number in a golf course. The average distance from the start position to the hole is 300 feet. And there are different types of discs for particular purpose. Ryan gave me a driver, and he said it is good for long range throwing. I thought I did a good job in my first Disc Golf experience. I really enjoyed hiking in the park and searching for my discs ( I don't think Ryan enjoyed looking for my disc. ). It took about two hours for us to finish the eighteen holes. I need to practice how to control the disc and make it fly longer. I saw a guy could throw the disc to the hole with only one throw. The disc made a turn in the air since the hole was blocked by some trees. That was skill.

It was a nice experience for me try this sport. I felt so much different when I threw the Frisbee with Ryan today in the park near downtown. I was trying to make a curve when I threw the disc. Although I failed to hit my target, I did make the curve this afternoon.

I AM HUNTING FOR A JOB, AGAIN...

 

Actually I am begging employers to give me a job this time. The economic is hella low in the states. There are thousands of people becoming unemployed every single day. It seems impossible for me to find a job since I have never worked before.

 

This is my second year of my master program, which means I can graduate in this semester if I want to. I wish I could find a summer job before I graduate so I chose to graduate next semester. Dr. Kumar said the companies are cutting down the number of full-time positions, but they are still offering intern positions. Yes, that's true. I found some companies like Intel, HP, Qualcomm having a few student positions and I applied them. But I guess there are few opportunities for an inexperienced student like me to get those jobs even I am qualified.

 

It's a good idea for me to go to the bay area since there are more companies over there. But my first choice is San Diego 'cause my family is there. Even down to San Diego, there are more opportunities than Sacramento area. The employers would like to hire local students for internships because they don't want to pay them to settle down. It supposed to be a big advantage for me to get a job in Intel located in Folsom.

 

Now I am planning to find an internship in China this summer if I can't find a summer job in the states. Anybody has some job information, let me know please. I appreciate it.

经过考虑，决定不再用Windows Live Space了。

三年了，感情还是满深的，这里记载了我太多太多的东西。

可能真的是因为承载了太多，开始不想打开这页面，不想在这里写东西。

明天起程去北京了，然后就是大后天飞美国。

另外希望注册了MySpace的加我好友，没注册的赶紧去注册一个加我好友。

Facebook也是一样，现在还是觉得Facebook太冷清，应该有更多好朋友才对。

 

算不上是一道菜吧，不过我觉得还蛮好吃的，就记下来咯。

今天在超市逛，觉得那个德华的年糕看上去满不错的，就买了回来预备宵夜。回到家问老妈有什么可以煮年糕的，她说有火腿和大白菜，我就烧水下了一板年糕，切了一刀白菜，再加几块火腿肉。但又觉得这么干煮没什么味道，于是找来火锅底料，一不小心弄进去一大陀。煮了一下，直到年糕变得比较软就可以了。我不太喜欢吃那种软的完全没嚼头的年糕，所以煮到刚刚好就行了。

果然是火锅底料放多了，对于喜欢吃辣的人来说应该是刚刚好，不过我觉得太辣了。虽然辣的很爽，但搞不好明天早上起床又是一头的包。

今天中午做了一个咖喱鸡饭。用的是超市里卖的咖喱料，不过发现并不是有了现成的咖喱就都很容易了，其实还是满要技巧的。

按照说明，准备好鸡肉、胡萝卜、洋葱、土豆。洋葱切好，注意不要弄到眼睛，还好我站得高，然后又带着眼镜，没有泪流满面。然后是土豆、胡萝卜去皮切成丁，鸡肉切丁。往小锅里倒一点植物油，开小火，将所有材料倒入小锅进行翻炒，注意不要让土豆糊了粘锅。然后加入水，大火煮至沸腾，然后换中小火，再让它继续沸腾十分钟。这样一来胡萝卜和土豆都煮软了，如果不喜欢吃粉土豆和软胡萝卜的，这里只要煮熟就可以了。然后关掉火，将咖喱料掰开，放入锅中进行搅拌，直到咖喱块全部化开。开小火继续煮，煮到自己满意的粘稠程度就可以关掉火了。将咖喱鸡浇在饭上的确是十分美味，这里我建议大家去买那种最辣的咖喱料，这样收汁的时候可以稍微稀一点，汤汁比较多口感也比较好。

这几天叫一个忙，姜楠跑来跟我还有黄欣然送行，第一晚上喝的昏天黑地，唱的天翻地覆。第二个晚上在秀玉东扯西拉，天南海北。当中，还有个中午饭跑到鲁巷跟华工的闻博吕硕吃饭，不过那是为江宽送行。唉，武大化学基地班的竟然跑到傲游去写程序，真是~~~ 姜楠依旧是一个伤感，搞得我们都不知道说什么了。今天中午把他送上车，同一句话互赠“好好干！”我是等着坐他的劳斯莱斯的，他是准备当我伴郎的。希望一两年后再聚首，又是另一番不同的心情。
